Overview

We are Looking for A Associate QA Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract):

The Associate QA Engineer is an entry-level individual contributor role designed for recent graduates or professionals with up to 3 years of experience. The position involves learning and applying fundamental quality assurance concepts, tools, and practices under close supervision. This role requires adherence to established procedures and detailed instructions, with limited scope for independent decision-making or innovation.

Principal Responsibilities

Contribute, as part of a QA team, to the organizational goal of providing extremely high-quality, robust software products.

Design and run appropriate automated test cases through all software lifecycle stages.

Design, maintain, and utilize automation test frameworks.

Work with the testing team members to review automated test execution issues to determine cause, corrective action, or defect reporting for the product.

Translate approved manual test cases, modules, and flows as automation requirements to deliver the specified automation scripts.

Interact with the QA test team and other groups to identify, create, and maintain test data to execute test cases.

Support the triage and identification of corrective action for test execution issues deemed automation script failures rather than product failures and resolve fundamental issues.

Report progress and issues to management and participate in automation team status meetings as required.

Participate in reviewing new manual testing artifacts to assist the functional testing team members in delivering quality test scenarios ready to be automated.

As an automation engineer, participate in the code reviews for team members and provide feedback to support the automation standards and guidelines.

  • 1-3 years of software quality assurance from a functional testing perspective focused on how users use systems.
  • Strong desire to learn new and challenging topics, including learning that will support day-to-day work as well as your future career growth
  • Well-versed in various agile methodologies (SCRUM, Lean, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Comprehension of the relationship between manual test artifacts and direct requirements that test automation must support.
  • Foundational usage of various third-party test automation solutions, open-source testing tools, and frameworks
  • Knowledge of manual functional testing
  • Self-starting and creative, thinking outside the box, and willing to research and find methods to solve challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical/problem-solving skills required.

  • Experience in cross-browser testing (Chrome, IE/Edge, Firefox) is required.
  • Experience testing in Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
  • ISTQB foundation certification is a plus
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
