About the Role
We are looking for Associate Accountant with Finance background with 2–3 years experience to join our Finance team and work closely with the Associate Manager – Finance.


This role is ideal for a finance professional who is eager to learn and develop strong expertise across accounting, financial reporting and intercompany transactions.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliation, along with a willingness to take on broader finance responsibilities.

Principal Responsibilities

Intercompany Accounting & Analysis
• Manage end-to-end intercompany accounting transactions, including recording, reconciliation and analysis.
• Calculate monthly intercompany cross-charges in alignment with global transfer-pricing agreements and coordinate distribution to local controllers.
• Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations between entities.
• Investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches and differences.
• Coordinate with global finance teams to ensure intercompany balances are accurate and aligned.
• Review intercompany invoices, recharges, settlements and supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely accounting of intercompany transactions during month-end close.
• Support intercompany confirmations and elimination-related activities.
• Analyse intercompany balances and identify unusual or aged items.

 

Month-End Closing
• Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate unusual movements.
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and within the appropriate accounting period.
• Support preparation of financial reports and management reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual GST computations and returns, along with advance tax calculations and related compliance requirements


Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Analyse P&L and Balance Sheet accounts and explain significant variances.
• Support preparation of monthly financial reports and management dashboards.
• Perform month-on-month and year-on-year analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Support audit requirements and provide necessary schedules and documentation.

 

Compliance & Other Finance Activities
• Support statutory audit, tax and other compliance activities.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails are maintained.
• Assist with process improvements, automation and standardisation of finance activities.
• Work closely with internal and global stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting matters.

Position Requirements

• MBA in Finance is Mandatory or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
• 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong hands-on experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliations is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
